The Stables: A New Chapter for Racquet Sports
From the beginning, the stables have stood as a familiar landmark just past the Welcome Center. Now, this iconic space is transforming into something entirely new, honoring its heritage while evolving into a vibrant gathering place for racquet sports and community.

The original stable building will become a dedicated racquets pro shop, preserving its historic character while introducing a modern, purpose-built space for players. Just beyond, the energy shifts to the new racquet facility, where four brand-new tennis courts and four of the club’s first-ever padel courts await. Built for both competitive matches and casual play, the courts feature shaded seating, on-site bathrooms, and lighting to keep the action going from morning through evening.
To accommodate its ever-growing popularity, the existing tennis courts will also be transformed into four additional pickleball courts, bringing the total to seven.

Beyond the courts, a three-acre park will provide even more opportunities for activity and recreation. Featuring a versatile multi-use field, the park is perfect for everything from casual football games and dog walks to larger club events like outdoor concerts. A 50,000-square-foot pond with a fishing dock will add natural beauty while also improving drainage. Together, these additions will form a scenic and functional centerpiece for this vibrant community space.
Construction Progress
Site preparation is well underway, and in the months ahead, court construction and grassing will begin, bringing new life to this space.
The conversion of existing tennis courts into additional pickleball courts will take place from mid-August through September, minimizing disruptions to ongoing programs.
To accommodate this new recreational area, Resident Member parking has been relocated to the lot behind the Welcome Center.
Enhancements Throughout
Beyond the courts, there’s plenty in motion across Winding Bay:
The Tipsy Parrot Coffee Shop is officially open, serving fresh pastries and coffee daily from 7:30 AM—whether you need a quick caffeine fix or a post-match bite.
The Winding Bay Club is in its final stretch, with the downstairs lounge and pool nearing completion and the upstairs Members Lounge next in line.
There is still much more to come. Some of the biggest updates are just around the corner.
