The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic
The 2026 Great Abaco Classic opens the Korn Ferry Tour season at The Abaco Club! Events begin on January 15 with an unofficial Pro-Am and practice day, followed by tournament play from January 18 to 21. Watch as rising professionals compete for PGA TOUR cards. Reminder: the course will be closed during this time.
February 19-21
Sugar Cay Shootout
Introducing the Sugar Cay Shootout- a high-energy new addition to the golf calendar. This is a four-person team made of one member, one club pro, and two guests for three days of competitive golf and island connection. From first tee to final toast, this is your chance to kick off the season with great play, great company, and a little Abaco edge. Registration is NOW OPEN on the app or by clicking here.

Grab your girls! This elegant team event welcomes one member and three guests for three days of themed fun, playful matchups, and endless laughter—both on and off the course.
The season began with a festive Thanksgiving Weekend, bringing families together for full tables, beachside traditions, and a packed holiday calendar. December continued with spirited competition during the Rowdy Rooster Pro-Member, followed by the Tradewind x The Abaco Club Sunset Social, where members gathered at the Horizon Lounge for cocktails, conversation, and a raffle drawing celebrating the continued collaboration with Tradewind Aviation. The month wrapped with a legendary lineup of events, activities, and holiday joy felt across the Club and beyond.

Shepherd's Cross: September 10-13, 2026

As a reminder, the Experience Planning Office (EPO) is now your central point of contact for rental accommodations and pre-arrival planning. Once on island, our Hospitality Services Team will continue to support all day-of requests throughout your stay.
This season, we were proud to introduce guided flats fishing as a new Club amenity. Led by legendary Bahamian guide Captain Donnie Lowe, this experience offers members access to one of the world’s most pristine flats ecosystems. Just minutes from shore, enjoy a conservation-minded outing where you can learn fly casting skills for the first time or refine your existing ones aboard Captain Donnie’s Mitzi skiff. Availability is extremely limited. Booking requests may be submitted via the Southworth App, the Abaco Yacht Club, or the Experience Planning Office.
